As an international nonprofit focused on global health, we aim to support the provision of modern rehabilitation services for disabled children in Sri Lanka, enabling them to achieve their full physical potential with the use of customized artificial limbs, appliances, or posture and mobility equipment fabricated by the Meththa Foundation using appropriate, innovative, and cost-effective technology. Through the use of sponsors across the globe, we have been able to help several children in Sri Lanka in the past few years. Our inspiration and partner, the Meththa Foundation, has been aiding the people of Sri Lanka since 1994. Providing these rehabilitation services and prosthetics to the people free of charge. Our sponsors’ donations cover the medical care for the children and giving them a chance at the childhood and independence that they deserve.
With a lot of hard work and networking, we are proud to have sponsored multiple children and raised over 3,000 dollars in funds for general use at the Meththa Foundation’s clinics. Meththa America partnered with Keells earlier this year to help raise funds for their Meal Card Program, where along side other charities, they were able to proved over 1,000 children in Sri Lanka with three meals a day, set up over 31 community gardens and provide over 100,000 meals across the island.
Meththa America’s program for teaching English as a second language to children at the Meththa Foundation’s clinics in Sri Lanka is an initiative aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for young, underprivileged patients. Leveraging resources and expertise from Meththa America and spearheaded by Sandali Rockwell, this program integrates innovative teaching methods tailored to the unique needs of children undergoing medical treatment. By providing English language instruction, the program not only equips these children with a valuable skill but also fosters cognitive development and promotes social inclusion. Through this initiative, Meththa America demonstrates its commitment to empowering disadvantaged youth and facilitating their academic and personal growth, contributing positively to their future prospects and well-being.
